A Falmouth hotelier has appealed to town councillors for help, amid worries that her business is being impacted by the smells emitted from the flue accessories of a neighbouring restaurant.

Jane Bowerman from the Arwenack Hotel said that the property's flue has been causing her issues since its installation in January, according to the Falmouth People.

Ms Bowerman told the news provider: "The flue is directly outside my bedroom window and the exit of all the smells is outside a guest bedroom window. The fat and stench coming from it is sticking to my glass and paintwork."

She went on to say that the motor which runs the machine is outsider her window, presenting noise pollution problems when she goes to sleep.

Last week, the BBC revealed that four hundred homes in east Lancashire were without heating due to a power cut.

This was caused because of a cable fault in Blackburn, prompting a power surge in nearby homes that affected boilers.
