What is vitreous stove pipe made from?

Vitreous enamel is manufactured from single wall 1.00 mm thick carbon steel, with a heat resistant enamel coating of powder coated glass particles that have been fused at high temperature to make a protective coating.

How do you seal a flue pipe?

It should be sealed with high temperature silicon sealant or fire cement.

How long should your chimney flue pipe be?

It should be as short as possible to connect your stove to the chimney. Longer lengths will allow heat to escape, cooling the flue gases with the result that the chimney won't draw as well. To that end, we recommend your installation is designed so that the it is no longer than 1500mm.

How do you seal a flue pipe?

It should be sealed with high temperature silicone sealant.

What kind of pipework should you use for a log burner wood stove?

For a log burner stove you should use vitreous enamel.

Can you cut vitreous flue?

Yes you can but we don’t recommend it. We recommend that you purchase the correct size for your project. If you do need to cut your flue, we recommend using an angle grinder or hacksaw. 

How do you connect a flexible chimney flue liner to a stove pipe?

The best way to connect the two is to use an appropriate flue to stove adaptor to connect your chimney liner.
