A new primary school in Aberdeen has been built to include new flue accessories as part of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) scheme from the Reorganise, Renovate and Rebuild partnership (3Rs).

The £7.4 million Kaimhill Primary School is the tenth institution to launch in under two years from 3Rs, which aims to build with energy-saving as a key priority.

Installations seen in the school include an innovative lighting management system, under-floor heating and natural ventilation, while urban drainage systems have also been integrated in its design.

3Rs project working group chairman councillor Kevin Stewart said: "I never cease to be impressed by the sheer quality and breathtaking design of our 3Rs schools.

"These schools are the best available and provide the kind of learning environment that I believe will be the envy of authorities across the UK."

Mr Stewart also claimed that 3Rs achievement of opening ten schools in such a short period is brilliant.
