A chimney and its associated flue accessories have collapsed in Essex, which has left residents without their property.
Three flats in Saffron Waldon, Essex were evacuated by police earlier this week, after cracks in the wall expanded and led to the ceiling collapsing as well as a chimney, according to Cambridge-news.co.uk.
One of those affected, Amy Limwattanamut, told the website: "We are in temporary accommodation in Newmarket but the children go to school in Saffron Walden, so things have not been easy."
This news comes after the Salisbury Journal reported that a chimney fire occurred at a pub in Salisbury on December 12th.
The incident caused smoke to spread down a local street, as staff at the establishment put out the flames with water and utilised a nearby fire extinguisher.
Ron Turner, the pub's landlord, told the website that those involved were fortunate, as the fire could have "ended differently".
