A fire originating from the chimney of the American restaurant Brixx Pizza in Biltmore Park, Acheville caused the local fire service to evacuate all inhabitants in the businesses and apartments situated above it, as the firemen attempted to extinguish the fire that may have erupted from its chimney cowl.

Forty-Five fire fighters were present at the scene of the incident and Fox Carolina has reported that while there were no injuries to people. The roof of the building sustained damage from the blaze, although the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

This news comes after the Riverfront Times reported that a chimney fire in Clayton, USA earlier this week forced four businesses to close temporarily.

The fire began at a restaurant named Il Vicino, located at Central Avenue and Maryland in downtown Clayton, before spreading to Japanese eatery Sansei, as well as local stores Busy Bee Shoe Repair & Alterations and the Clayton Barber Shop.
