The Energy Efficiency Partnership for Buildings (EEPB) has launched, which aims to boost the implementation of the Green Deal.

It hopes to create the largest network of potential advisers on the scheme in order to create a hub of expertise to represent the industry's views on energy efficiency in Britain.

Dr David Strong, chairman of the EEPB, said: "Our priority working groups will be looking at how we overcome market barriers and unlock opportunities from Green Deal and ECO, especially for SMEs."

Mr Strong explained that the group will organise construction dialogue and interaction with policy makers as a means of delivering practical solutions to address current issues.

The Green Deal was recently put under the spotlight by Superglass, which stated that the impact of the scheme will be tough to predict.

It suggested that more initiatives are required in order for a smooth transition to be made to the Green Deal.
