A compact flue gas analyser that can track nine different gases and 17 measurement parameters has been unveiled by Ametek's unit Land Instruments.
This appliance will boost flue accessories by offering accurate combustion efficiency while monitoring emissions in tasks such as boiler servicing, power generation, paper mill work and glass manufacturing.
The analyser's advanced sample conditioning system guarantees precise measurements and a resolution of 0.1 ppm, while its dual rechargeable batteries can offer up to eight hours of use.
Also, the appliance boasts a wide screen, high-colour display that enables data to be easily transferred to a PC or USB pen. Several languages are supported by the device, such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese.
News of Land Instruments' new device comes after Tata Steel announced that its Port Talbot site will benefit from a new energy-efficient cooling system, which will make up part of a new £53 million investment by the company.
