The company in charge of plans for an incinerator and flue accessories at Devenport Dockyard has revealed a new image of the building, after confessing that initial pictures were wrong.

MW Environment Devonport admitted that a crane constructed to display the height of the plant found that images were predicated on false calculations, reports the Plymouth Herald.

The company's managing director Paul Carey told the newspaper: "To give people confidence that these are now accurate, we have also produced for public information additional photomontages showing the crane superimposed against the chimney and the main buildings, from which it is evident that they now line up."

Mr Carey maintained that the overall conclusions of the visual impact analysis remain the same.

This week, a report by the Burnley Express revealed that the demolition of a mill has started in the Watt Street region of Sadden.

However, many villagers have spoken out against the proposals, as they believe they will damage the rural area.
