There is a lot of plastic pollution in the environment, and we are not afraid to hold our hands up and say we are part of the problem. This is not okay with us, and is why we are completely rethinking the role we play in our contribution to this environmental problem.
Unfortunately, plastic is a very valuable to our business and helps us get our products to our customers efficiently and safely, but yet far too much of this plastic just ends up in the environment thrown away. Global research from campaigners has shown regularly this is contributing to the rapid increase of plastic in our oceans.
So, what can we do?
Our approach to using plastic in our packaging is changing.
We are committed to reducing the amount of plastic we use, protecting the environment, oceans and ecosystems around the world. Whilst it is vital that our business needs to use some plastics, we have introduced measures to reduce plastic where possible.
You may have seen over the last few weeks, that we have been posting on social media about the ways we have strived to reduce our plastic usage.
One way we have done this is by investing in new environmentally friendly ways to package our products, example replacing our bubble wrap packaging with brown paper where possible. This has helped drastically improve our reduction of the use of single use plastics.

Our philosophy is to eliminate the use of single use plastics, use better plastic and recyclable plastic. Improving our sustainability is a must.
What changes have we already made?
As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and working to becoming more sustainable we are delighted to announce our partnership with THG (more: trees).
Each month we will be making a monetary donation to them and trees will be planted on our behalf. These trees will be planted in different projects around the globe in areas that need it the most, in helping to fight against climate change!
Partnering with THG (more: trees) will help in restoring healthy forests and reduce extreme carbon emissions, one tree at a time. The more we can plant, the more we can help!
