Environment Agency Wales has granted Anglesey EcoParc Mon an environmental permit, which will ensure that the plant's flue accessories abide by ecological standards.
The plant will break down waste and other materials to produce liquid as well as solid fertiliser. Also, the permit will regulate the plant's impact on the local area by establishing strict conditions in regards to its emissions.
David Edwell, Environment Agency Wales' area manager for North Wales said: "I can confirm that we have granted an environmental permit for Anglesey EcoParc Mon to operate an Anaerobic digestion plant.
Mr Edwell also commented that a rigorous assessment over the last few months showed that plans are in place to run the plant to the highest possible environmental standards.
In the decision making process, the Environment Agency consulted with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Animal Health, Anglesey Council, the RAF and local people.
