A condensing, packaged boiler has been fitted among the flue accessories of Bristol City Council's Bush Residential Resource Centre.

The new boiler package offers optimised heat transfer capabilities and outstanding energy efficiency, meaning that energy costs and the facility's carbon footprint can be kept to a minimum, reports Plant Engineer.

It was installed by JRC Mechanical services and was supplied via BSS in Bristol. The equipment includes two boilers, pumps and pressurisation units.

Speaking to the news provider, Bristol's principal mechanical and electrical engineer said that it is "a neat package with a corner configuration which kept the footprint of the plant room to a reasonable size and cost".

In recent weeks, the Southern Reporter revealed that St Boswells Village Hall has been equipped with a new boiler and heating system, following support from fundraising efforts.

Grants equalling £26,000 from a number of groups helped to ensure that the appliance could be installed
