A disabled Milngavie resident is still waiting for roof repairs to be made to his home, after his flue accessories were damaged during a recent storm.

Scott Matthews' garden was filled with rubble from the structure, following gale force winds that led to a four day clean up. However, Mr Matthews is still waiting for East Dunbartonshire Council to fix a hole in his roof incurred during the adverse weather, reports the Milngavie & Bearsden Herald.

Speaking to the newspaper, he said; "If my ceiling collapsed I couldn’t even run from any debris falling. I’m really worried about it and that further damage may occur as water is still getting into the roof."

Storms also caused property damage in Edinburgh recently, with the Scotsman reporting that a chimney was blown from the roof of a property in Morrison Street.

As well as this, a 30ft wall on Salamander Street was blown down.
