A fire has occurred at a beachside pub in Thorpeness, Suffolk, after the property's flue accessories were set ablaze.

The incident happened at the Dolphin Inn, which is situated in the village's Peace Place area, though no injuries were reported, according to Eadt.co.uk.

Fire crews managed to control the flames within ten minutes by using chimney rods and a hearth kit, while thermal cameras were also utilised to ensure that no other hotspots in the property were missed.

This news comes after the Buckhinghamshire Advertiser reported that a chimney fire damaged a hotel in Amersham.

The Crown Hotel was affected during the incident, which led to fire crews treating the hotel's blaze with thermal cameras as well as a turntable ladder.

Kevin Wilkie, the hotel's operation manager, told the website: "I think it was the result of a build up of sap in the chimney, we had it cleaned out on October 2nd, but the heat was too much today."
