Gloucester City Homes (GCH) has announced the completion of the final property in its Decent Homes programme.
Overall, £40.1 million has been invested in the homes managed by GCH, meaning that all of its homes are now in compliance with the Decent Homes Standard, while tenant satisfaction has averaged 98 per cent.
GCH chief executive Ashley Green said: "All our homes now meet the Decent Homes standard which ensures that our residents are now enjoying homes that have modern facilities and services, as well as effective heating systems and thermal insulation."
Mr Green explained that, while the Decent Homes programme has now finished, its community investment scheme is about to start, enabling people to gain improvements to communal areas,
Organisations across the UK were recently advised that they can save over £400 million a year by improving the efficiency of their boilers, following a study by the Carbon Trust.
The research found that, by taking simple efficiency measures, up to 60 per cent of the carbon emissions from certain industrial processes in the UK can be cut.
