Those investing flue liners for woodburners in their home this Christmas may want to adapt their home to fit in with the latest interior design trends.
Interior design colours are softening at the moment, with trends moving away from grey, taupe and neutrals, according to Adrienne Chinn Design.
The design director at the high quality interiors firm, Adrienne Chinn, explained that warmer colours such as honeysuckle orange and yellow are getting more popular.
A warm colour scheme is likely to complement any newly-installed woodburner or exposed flue accessories this winter.
Ms Chinn explained: "What I call off colours - not bright red but the warm, pinky reds, the softer tones of orange, the softer tones of yellow - they work really well in the UK with our light, which tends to be quite grey light over here."
Her comments come after professional colour standards provider Pantone indicated that soft shades such as honeysuckle are a great boost to spirits when under stress.
The company claims that this particular tone is "perfect to ward off the blues".
