The winners at the Microgeneration UK 2011 Awards have been revealed, with many flue accessories specialists commended for their efforts in the industry.
Ceramic Fuel Cells collected the technical innovation award for its BlueGen system, which is the first fuel cell-based microchip product in the UK, while the commercial innovation award was handed to Carillion Energy Services for its Project Bright feed-in tariff.
The awards were presented by the president of the Micropower Council, Baroness Maddock.
Ms Maddock said: "We were delighted with the quality of the entries this year, which represent the growing strength of the industry and demonstrate how we as a sector are continuing to push the boundaries."
She added that the judges were very impressed with the range of entries, which came from businesses, individuals and local authorities throughout the UK.
Among the other winners at the ceremony were Places for People, Kingspan Renewables and Tony Stainforth.
