More homeowners are now expanding their homes into their gardens, an expert has claimed.
There is now a trend for outdoor living, where many people are buying garden furniture in an effort to increase the amount of space in their home, according to a specialist from Norfolk Leisure.
Shaun White, head of sales at Norfolk Leisure, said: "We are finding that the top-priced products are still selling well because the people who have got money will still spend. It is as simple as that. It is the cheaper products that are struggling to move."
Mr White asserted that people are not moving as much and are instead making and developing their own homes and flue accessories.
His remarks follow aspect.co.uk's recommendation that wooden garden furniture needs to be looked after all-year round, especially in long dry spells that will make varnish peel and bleach the wood.
