A chimney and its flue accessories in Staverton have been taken down.
The Wiltshire Times reported that the structure, which used to tower over the top of a former Nestle factory, has been removed in stages by demolition firm RM Penny.
It was lowered to the ground in this way rather than being demolished so that damage was not caused to other buildings nearby.
Chris Penny, from RM Penny, explained that parts of the factory had to be shut down for the work to be carried out.
"During the work we were very dependent on the weather, which was good thankfully, everything went according to plan. I was really pleased that everything went so smoothly with this project and it was very interesting to be involved with taking down one of the biggest chimneys in the area," he added.
Earlier this month, a mill and its flue accessories were demolished in Sadden to make way for the construction of 127 homes.
