A financial package that will help to decrease the cost of energy bills in Wales has been praised by an MP.
Mike Hedges, Swansea East AM, has told the South Wales Evening Post of his delight that the city will be able to take advantage of the funding, which will support the installation of energy efficiency appliances under the Welsh government's Arbed scheme.
Speaking to the news provider, Mr Hedges said: "Not only has the scheme helped to deliver warmer homes and lower fuel bills, but it has also helped to provide local job opportunities within both the construction and renewable energy sectors."
He also remarked that he is looking forward to seeing the plan enforced.
In addition to government help, homeowners can adopt their own measures to improve heating.
Oliver Heath, eco design consultant at Oliverheath.com, advised that fitting radiators with thermostatic radiator valves is one way of boosting the home's heating.
