Victoria Centre in Wellingborough now has a new boiler, after organisations and individuals helped to generate over £30,000.
The new appliance was afforded following a number of fundraising events, while money was also provided by the Sita Trust, the Cloth Workers' Foundation, the United Reformed Church in Wellingborough and Wellingborough Council, reports the Evening Telegraph.
Centre manager Edeltraund Freund told the newspaper: "On behalf of the centre I would like to thank all those who have helped us through the hard times by funding, being understanding and helping us."
Ms Freund went on to say that when the boiler broke down it was a very difficult time for staff and users of the premises.
The scale of heating issues across the UK was demonstrated in the Priced Out study by Bernardo's last week, which found that low income families are being forced to choose between eating meals or heating their homes.
