A chimney along with its flue accessories in Manchester has had a makeover, with locals likening its appearance to the Eifel Tower.
The chimney is situated in the city's Harpurhey area, where new blue lights have been incorporated into its appearance, resembling the iconic French landmark, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Harpurhey councillor Pat Karney told the newspaper: "I think Parisians would recognise themselves in Harpurhey people. Like them, we are proud of our area and aspirational about our place in the world."
This news comes after the Chicago Tribune reported that many property owners do not know what type of chimney they actually own.
In addition, many people are uncertain when their heating appliances need to be cleaned, or even why such tools need to be monitored.
Chimney expert Rich Martinez told the website that education is a "key part" of his job, as he attempts to change the mentalities of misinformed homeowners.
