S I Sealy has been assigned by the Parliamentary Estates Directorate to complete a building services design review of the Houses of Parliament.
The site is a Grade 1 listed building and will have its mechanical and electrical plant equipment updated and renovated over the course of the next four years. This will include its ventilation systems as well as its flue accessories.
David Stafford, director of S I Sealy, said: "We are thrilled to have been appointed to review the building services design of the Houses of Parliament, the most iconic building in the UK, and one of the most iconic in the world."
The Houses of Parliament has not had its heating infrastructure updated in several years, meaning that the building firm's work could be vital in maintaining the site.
In addition, the company was also confirmed as the appointed engineering designers of the Co-operative group's new headquarters last autumn.
