A chimney fire in the American state of Michigan has damaged a property's flue accessories, as well as other areas.
The blaze occurred in the state's village of Middleville and started from a wood stove pipe, while damage was mainly evident in the home's chimney and living room, according to HerkimerTelegram.com.
Middleville fire chief Chris Conover told the website: "There was one wall that had to be taken down from the inside to make sure the fire hadn't spread anywhere."
This news comes after Stuff.co.nz reported that homeowners in New Zealand have been warned that they may face heating worries in 2011.
This is because of a new chimney replacement scheme organised by the government, which will ensure that only certain Canterbury property owners will be able to take advantage of enhanced heating appliances.
Local MP Brendon Burns told the website that "thousands" of homeowners in the area will be affected by cold conditions.
