A wood stove pipe was one of the reasons behind a chimney blaze in the American state of Wisconsin this week.
The fire occurred in the Fond du Lac area of the state, where a wood-burning stove overheated and led to a wall being set ablaze inside a home in the South Park Avenue region, according to FdlReporter.com.
Fire chief Peter O'Leary, who attended the fire, told the website: "We are thankful residents noticed the fire quickly and immediately called 911 for help. The residents' quick thinking helped to minimise damage to the home and kept everyone safe."
Meanwhile, Northampton newspaper the Evening Telegraph has reported that a chimney fire occurred in the Dingley area on January 1st at 22:00GMT.
A spokesperson from the local fire team told the paper that the flames travelled to floor joists and floor boards, before fire crews from Desborough and Market Harborough were called into action.
